Second Violin

Victoria Griswold joined the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in April 1993 after membership in
the Boston Pops Esplanade and Boston Ballet orchestras. She was also a frequent extra
musician with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops.

Born in Huntington, New York, she grew up in Milwaukee and earned a B.M. degree from the
University of Wisconsin, Madison. Ms. Griswold is a member of the Quattra String Quartet and
since 2015 she has written the programs for the ISO’s Teddy Bear Series. The programs,
designed for children ages 3-6, consist of original stories, live musical selections, and
movements for audience participation. The lively programs introduce the instruments of the
symphony orchestra to young children.

Ms. Griswold has received The Alice Akins Award for Excellence in Music Education and she is
a 2017 Creative Renewal Fellowship Grant winner. She is married to a computer consultant,
and they are the parents of one son
