Musician Bio

Jeanne Getz has enjoyed a varied musical career. Prior to spending 5 seasons with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Jeanne served in The U.S. Army Field Band, the Army’s premier touring ensemble in Washington, D.C. Before enlisting in the Army, she was a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and the New World Symphony.
Performing throughout the country, Jeanne has played with many orchestras, including National Symphony Orchestra, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, The Florida Orchestra and at the Tanglewood, Aspen, and Spoleto USA music festivals. She is a native Hoosier and studied with former ISO hornist, Jerry Montgomery, in high school and participated in the ISO’s Side-by-Side program before earning a Bachelor of Music degree from Boston University and a Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music.
