Musician Bio

Veronica Siebert of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is a second-year master’s student at Indiana University under the tutelage of Jane Dutton. In summer 2024 she was a Fellow at the Ravinia Steans Music Institute, and a Gerdine Young Artist at Opera Theater of Saint Louis, where she covered Sesto in Giulio Cesare. In summer 2025, she will return to OTSL, covering Hermia, singing Mustardseed in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and covering Prince Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus. At IU, Siebert recently premiered the role of Rosa Saks in IU’s co-production of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay with the Metropolitan Opera, and previously has sung Olga in Eugene Onegin and Beata in a workshop of Swimming in the Dark. She received her BM from the Eastman School of Music where she sang Endimione in La Calisto, The Witch in Into the Woods, The Foreign Singer in Postcard from Morocco, and was a soloist in eleven concert works, including Vivaldi’s Magnificat and Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. Veronica has been awarded OTSL’s Barbara and Stanley Richman Career Development award, First Place at the Orpheus Competition, Second Place at the Met-Laffont SE Regionals, First Place at the Met-Laffont TN Districts, and First Place at the Heafner-Williams Competition, among others.
