Musician Bio

Kaz Kruszewski holds the position of temporary bass trombone with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. He joined the ISO in 2026, following a 21-year career in the United States Air Force Bands, most recently as a member of the Ceremonial Brass, Washington, D.C. He has held positions with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra and Fairfax Symphony Orchestra (Virginia).  Kaz has also performed with several other orchestras including the Cleveland Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra, Saint Louis Symphony, and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. He has shared the stage with such artists as Yo-Yo Ma, Renée Fleming, Gil Shaham, Jon Batiste, the Temptations, and Mnozil Brass.

Originally from Skokie, Illinois, Kaz obtained a bachelor’s degree in music and mathematics from Indiana University-Bloomington.  His teachers include Frank Crisafuli and Carl Lenthe.
