Serpentine Fire joins forces with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra to present the music of Earth, Wind & Fire in this celebration of one of the best-selling bands of all time. Led by Tyriq Johnson, whose multi-octave vocal prowess is ideally suited to the genre-busting EWF catalog, Serpentine Fire explores the legacy of the original group that forged new paths in jazz, R&B, soul, funk, disco, pop, Latin and Afro-pop. With top hits like “September,” “Boogie Wonderland” (with The Emotions), and “Shining Star,” this performance will have you grooving on the dance floor!

The Serpentine Fire project grew out of Tyriq’s association and friendship with Verdine White and Ralph Johnson of Earth, Wind & Fire.  His voice will guide audiences through an instantly recognizable American songbook that perfectly showcases Tyriq’s vocal talents. In 2019, Tyriq collaborated with arranger and conducor Mariano Longo to create a unique and exciting symphony pops presentation. They have united this uplifting and funky music with sophisticated orchestration to present an irresistible crowd-pleasing show. Serpentine Fire: The music of Earth, Wind & Fire, is a first-class performance of this universally known music for orchestral audiences of all ages.

The group features E.C. Adams, a Las Vegas headliner who has opened for Joan Rivers and Jay Leno, and performed with Gladys Knight and KC & the Sunshine Band. EC has toured internationally with the BMA award-winning vocal group Spectrum. The six-piece touring group also features Walter Jones (bass and vocals), Dominic DiTomasso (guitar and vocals), and Michael Angelo Vattima (drummer and associate conductor). All together, their performance is a dynamic and fast-paced journey through the 70s and 80s hits of Earth, Wind & Fire.
