Jun Märkl begins with Kenji Bunch’s Symphony No. 1, a bold contemporary statement shaped by propulsion and scale. He then spotlights three soloists in Beethoven’s majestic Triple Concerto: guest pianist Alexandra Dariescu, alongside ISO Concertmaster Kevin Lin and Principal Cellist Austin Huntington. The drama climaxes with vivid excerpts from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet.
