It’s award show season at the ISO!
Two-time Tony Award and Grammy winner Christian Borle joins Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly and the ISO for a star-studded journey down the red carpet. The concerts celebrate iconic, award-winning music from the Oscars, the Tony Awards, and more. Borle will join the ISO on stage for the evening concerts only, bringing his signature Broadway star power to a program that highlights some of the most celebrated songs from stage and screen. In addition to basking in these melodies from stage and screen, you can walk the red carpet before the concert! Free on-site paparazzi will capture photos of your glam moments!
Borle will perform “Hard to Be the Bard” from Something Rotten!, the role that earned him his second Tony Award, and “You’ll Be Back” from Hamilton, along with additional selections.
Christian Borle is one of Broadway’s most celebrated performers, with a career spanning stage, television, and film. His Broadway credits include Some Like It Hot (Grammy Award), Something Rotten! (Tony Award), and Peter and the Starcatcher (Tony Award), as well as Falsettos, Tammy Faye, Legally Blonde, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Mary Poppins, Spamalot, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. Off-Broadway credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Angels in America, and Sweeney Todd (Live at Lincoln Center).
His television appearances include “Hazbin Hotel,” “Smash,” “Gilmore Girls,” “Younger,” “Evil,” “The Good Wife/Fight,” “Elsbeth,” “Elementary,” “Masters of Sex,” “Prodigal Son,” “The Sound of Music Live!,” and “Peter Pan Live!,” among others. His film credits include The Bounty Hunter and Blackhat. Borle has also directed productions including Popcorn Falls (Off-Broadway) and Footloose at The Muny, and is a playwright, with works including Hammered: A Thor & Loki Play and additional material for Some Like It Hot.
