Musician Bio

Sharon Possick-Lange was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and earned a B.M. degree at Temple University. Her major teachers have included Richard Woodhams of the Philadelphia Orchestra and Robert Mayer, formerly of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Prior to joining the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in 1985, she performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, including as soloist for a youth subscription concert, the Opera Company of Philadelphia, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the Florida Orchestra and the Colorado Philharmonic.

She has appeared as a soloist with the ISO and was on the faculty of DePauw University for several years. She and her husband are the proud parents of three sons and one daughter.
