Endowed by Christel DeHaan, this reimagined gala event is the ISO’s largest annual fundraiser and promises to be the most anticipated arts event of the fall season. Guests will enjoy an elevated evening experience that celebrates the exceptional talent of ISO musicians and the vibrant cultural legacy of the organization’s downtown home. From the moment patrons arrive, the Hilbert Circle Theatre will be transformed with dynamic lighting, interactive moments, and intimate performances.

The entire Gala experience—from the elegant pre-concert reception to the lively post-performance celebration—will unfold under one roof at the historic Hilbert Circle Theatre. Following the concert, guests will be invited to explore a transformed theatre filled with vibrant, interactive experiences. The evening will come alive with surprise pop-up performances throughout the hall, picture-perfect moments in beautifully designed spaces, and themed lounge areas infused with a touch of bohemian flair. Curated tastings, specialty mocktails, and crafted cocktails will complete this immersive, celebratory atmosphere

Join ISO Music Director Jun Märkl and violin virtuoso Augustin Hadelich for a voyage through Bohemia, featuring Brahms’ Violin Concerto, a piece known for its heartfelt lyricism and dazzling technical fireworks—ideally suited to Hadelich’s expressive, award-winning artistry. The program also includes Brahms’ beloved Hungarian Dance No. 5, Smetana’s “Dance of the Comedians,” and the spirited “Dances of Galánta” by Kodály, bringing the evening to life with folkloric energy and vibrant orchestral color.

“The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to offer this new experience to our patrons,” said James M. Johnson, CEO. “As we look ahead to an exciting new season, Gala: Opus 2025 highlights the musical excellence of our orchestra and our role in serving the community. We invite everyone to join us as we celebrate artistry, connection, and the vital role the ISO plays in central Indiana.”
