Weather and Traffic alerts
Concert cancellations due to weather are reported via the ISO's weather hotline at 317.758.SOTP, Facebook page and Twitter feed. "Like" the ISO on Facebook and follow @Indy_Symphony on Twitter and Instagram for up-to-date concert information. You can also download the CBS4 Weather Authority app for live radar and weather alerts in your area.
Rain won't dampen the mood.
Bring your rain gear! The ISO and its guest artists make every attempt to perform, even in rainy weather. In the event of severe weather that might cancel a concert, we will invite you back. Rain checks will be distributed and will admit ticketholders for lawn seating to any remaining Kroger Symphony on the Prairie concert. Replacement table seating is arranged through the Hilbert Circle Theatre Box Office and is subject to availability. Valid rain checks will be confirmed the day after the cancellation on our website.
Symphony on the Prairie has a no refund policy on all events. If a concert is canceled, tickets can be used for a future summer performance, and any table, parking, or ISO Sunset Lounge purchases can be exchanged into a future concert.
Free parking is available, however, Premium Parking—providing easy-access parking—is available for individual concerts. Prices vary from $20 to $50. If purchasing Premium Parking for 10 or more performances, reserved parking passes are only $25 per performance.
Accessible parking is available with golf cart transportation to and from the gates. Unfortunately, the golf carts are not allowed to transport any further than the perimeter gates. If further accessibility assistance is required to navigate the grounds a wheelchair can be requested.
Bring a wagon or a rolling cooler. If neither is available, the Boy Scouts have wagons to help you move things from your car pre-concert.
Groups of eight or more with rented tables or lawn seating can order "green sack" dinners - a casual, simple meal in a recycled paper sack. Green sack dinners must be pre-ordered directly through MBP Distinctive Catering by noon the Wednesday prior to a concert by calling 317.636.4444.
For larger groups requiring a private area, call Conner Prairie to rent one of three picnic pavilions. The sales and catering team will help secure the right pavilion for your group size and coordinate meal and beverage servicing. Contact Conner Prairie at 317.214.4495 for details. Pavilion rentals require catering from Conner Prairie.
Food and drink - bring your own or buy at the Prairie.
Feel free to bring your own food, drink (including alcoholic beverages), lawn chairs and blankets. Food vendors are on site and concessions are sold at all concerts - including beer and wine.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Here are some recommendations from fans:
- Bring a chair or picnic blanket.
- Bring a wagon or a rolling cooler. If neither is available, the Boy Scouts have wagons to help you move things from your car pre-concert.
- Picnic-style foods are the best kind! Some suggestions are: wine, cheese, crackers, baguettes, frozen grapes, croissants, etc.
- Bring a vinyl tablecloth to place under the blanket you're sitting on to eliminate dampness. It can also double as a cover for any unexpected rain.
- Have trash bags ready for when you've finished eating, and bring a flashlight in case it's too dark to check the area where you're sitting.
WHAT CAN'T I BRING?
We do not allow large tables, tents, canopies, pets, hammocks, grills, tiki torches, sparklers, drones, firearms, weapons, fireworks, illegal drugs, controlled substances, cameras, recording devices, laser pointers, strobe lights, or irritants (e.g. artificial noisemakers) onto the premises. Large umbrellas may be prohibited. Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaporizers, permitted in designated areas only.
Lost or Forgotten Tickets
Tickets purchased for any Kroger Symphony on the Prairie concert that have been lost or forgotten at home cannot be reprinted on site at the Conner Prairie Box Office. New tickets will need to be purchased to allow entry into the amphitheater.
