The Performance
The second performance in our Uncharted Series for the 2022-23 season, Steve Hackman’s Beethoven X Coldplay is the merging of musical giants. This performance pairs two composers/artists that deal with universal and humanist themes in their music and asks a musical question: would Beethoven have found meaning in the music of Coldplay? This performance will turn Beethoven’s Eroica into an oratorio, weaving the melodies and lyrics of Coldplay into the original Beethoven, pairing them together based on content and context.
Ryan Hickey, aka DJ Helicon, will perform in the lobby pre-concert. Additionally, local record shop, Indy CD & Vinyl, will be hosting a pop-up shop.

Beethoven x Coldplay will go on as planned unless Marion County issues a state of emergency. Then updated information about the concert will be communicated to ticket holders via social media and email.
