Sassy Violist

The Sassy Violist, also known as Amy Kniffen, has been professional violist of over 30 years. She believes that the art of storytelling is the most effective way to educate students of all ages. Kniffen has developed her own curriculum that combines elements of music, literature, poetry, history and social justice in an immersive experience that uses live music to educate. Kniffen is currently Acting Associate Principal Violist in the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra,

The Sassy Violist program’s mission is to provide music education for students and schools in need of music programs and exposure. We understand that many schools may not have the means to organize a field trip for students, so we are coming to you!

Marianne Tobias Music Program

The Marianne Tobias Music Program lifts the spirits of patients, staff and visitors through weekly live music performances. Through the gift of an endowment and donation of a concert grand piano, the Marianne Tobias Music Program at Eskenazi Health is dedicated to providing high-quality performance music to patients, staff and visitors. Marianne Tobias, Ph.D., a resident musicologist, accomplished pianist, lecturer and program annotator for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, helped Eskenazi Health launch the namesake program in 2013.

Arts for Lawrence

AFL offers a diverse blend of affordable quality art programs at the Theater at the Fort, the Visual Art Center, and the Fort Ben Cultural Campus. ISO Musicians regularly play free or low cost concerts in partnership with Arts for Lawerence.

Indy Winter Farmers Market

Since 2008, the Indy Winter Farmers Market has provided a venue for Indiana’s sustainably-minded family farms and food producers to sell products throughout the fall and winter, improving the community’s year-round access to fresh, local food. Our goal is to help bridge the gap between the community, local farmers, and food producers. Come stock up on your fresh produce while listening to our musicians perform!
