About Catelijne Hunt

Catelijne Hunt, currently a homeschooled high school junior, studies violin with Mimi Zweig at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Precollege String Academy, where she previously was a student of Dr. Brenda Brenner. Additionally, she has taken lessons with Sarah Kapustin and participated in masterclasses with Noah Bendix-Balgley, Jinjoo Cho, Vadim Gluzman, Luke Hsu, Sirena Huang, Grigory Kalinovsky, Mark Kaplan, Kyung Sun Lee, Richard Lin, Ayano Ninomiya, Robin Scott, and Almita Vamos. Catelijne won first prize in the 2023 Northern Kentucky University School of the Arts Tri-State Rising Artists Violin Competition, the 2024 Bloomington Symphony Orchestra Youth Concerto Competition, the 2024–2025 Indianapolis Youth Orchestra Young Artist Competition (Senior Division), and the 2025–2026 Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Maurer Young Musicians Competition. She is an avid chamber music performer and also performs as a member of the Jacobs School of Music String Academy Virtuosi.
