Music of the Big Note

1.“…like a big bumblebee.”

Movement: Make a bee with your arms and get ready to try to buzz your wings quickly. Pretend you can fly!

2. “…how fast they can play.”

Movement: Can you help conduct with some fast beats of two? Make a baton with your finger and wait for the cue.

3. “…the sound filled the room.”

4. “…big notes could march like a bear!”

Movement: Like big marching bears, let’s all march along and see if you hear the big notes in this song.

5. “…and tiptoed inside.”

Movement: Can you step in place and be quick as you go? Be quiet like Teddy and walk on tiptoes.

6. “…thunderous melody filled Teddy’s ears.”

7. “…swish-swaying like trees in the wind.”

Movement: Put your arms overhead, flutter fingers like leaves be gentle and sway back and forth like the trees.

8. “…while his hands tapped along.”

Movement: When the music makes hops start to jump up and down like frogs in a pond that are leaping around.

9. “…melody fluttered like small butterflies.”

Movement: Let’s wiggle our fingers. Make small butterflies. As the silver flute plays, fly them up to the sky.

10. “…charged ahead like a runaway train!”

Movement: Like a train, move your arms then go faster and faster. Speed up very slowly to be a train master.

11. “…hum a low lion’s purr.”

12. “…Now I’m really in trouble.”

13. “…BRAVO! HIP-HOORAY!”
