HEALTH AND SAFETY UPDATES - JULY 24, 2020

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (ISO) announces the 2020-2021 indoor concert season, including IPL Yuletide and Messiah presented by Telemon, will not take place as planned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of the current challenges, postponing all indoor concert performances for the 2020-21 season is the best course of action to ensure the ISO can continue serving the community to its best ability. After continuously monitoring federal, state, and local guidelines on social distancing requirements, preventative requirements, and sanitation protocols, the decision was based on our commitment to ensure the safety of our musicians, staff, patrons, and volunteers, along with the entire community. At this time Kroger Symphony on the Prairie is still scheduled to start in June 2021.

Subscribers who have renewed for 2020-21 have the following options:

  • Donate tickets back to the ISO
  • Request a gift certificate for the value of tickets, which is redeemable up to five years
  • Hold the value of tickets "on account" and apply that ticket value to future concerts
  • Roll your subscription over to the 2021-22 Season
  • Receive a refund of ticket value

All subscribers who have and haven’t yet renewed will have guaranteed seats for the 2021-22 Season.

Customer Care Representatives are working to reach out to ticket holders by August 31. If you are a ticket holder and know your preferred method of ticketing options, please feel free to fill out this form or email the ISO Box Office at ISO@IndianapolisSymphony.org.

While the ISO makes plans to emerge from the pandemic and return to giving concerts in the safest and most appropriate manner, we want to keep you informed as we adjust our timelines. We are delaying the start of our single ticket sales until we are certain as to what our 2020–2021 season looks like. In the meantime, we will continue to monitor guidance from local, state, and federal authorities and other subject-matter experts on best practices to assure a timely and safe return to Hilbert Circle Theatre as soon as conditions allow. Please know that we will keep you informed. The ISO believes that the extraordinary power of music lies in its ability to bring people together—even under unprecedented circumstances. We hope to return to Hilbert Circle Theatre soon and are grateful for your continued support.
