The Performance
Often described as a member of the avant-garde, Gubaidulina became a challenging voice in her country and created the whimsical Fairytale Poem for a 1971 radio broadcast. The dream-like Violin Concerto by Prokofiev shows off the talents of ISO Concertmaster Kevin Lin, and Rachmaninoff’s well-loved Symphonic Dances wraps up the concert.
