Sounds of Spain

The ISO takes patrons through a whirlwind of Spanish dances and delights. Symphonie Espagnole by Édouard Lalo will feature Bulgarian violin virtuoso Svetlin Foussev. Two other pieces show off the talents of Manuel de Falla, one of Spain's most important musicians of the first half of the 20th century.

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra is saddened by the passing of Maestro Jesús López-Cobos, who was scheduled to make his ISO debut conducting our Sounds of Spain concerts. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and the many members of the orchestral community who worked with him throughout the years.
