Beyond Sustainability
Dr. David Benson, Marian University

At its most basic, environmental sustainability could be thought of as having as much of a negative impact on the environment as can be sustained. Perhaps, rather than thinking about how to limit our negative impact on the environment to the point where it is sustainable, we should think about how we can have a positive impact. We can choose: what environment do we want to live in? One that is merely sustainable, or one that is desirable?

Sustainability: The Foundation for a 21st Century Education
Dr. Carl Lecher, Marian University

Do we want to “sustain” the world the way that it is today? Dr. Lecher discusses reeducating our society on sustainability solutions for the 21st century.
