Teddy Bear Series: The Giant's Violin

The Teddy Bear Concert Series introduces preschool & kindergarten students (ages 3-7) to the orchestra through story, movement, and live music. Each program features an original story, written by ISO violinist Victoria Griswold, and five musicians from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

The Giant's Violin follows the adventures of a young boy who discovers a giant violin in his attic! This story will introduce your little ones to the string instruments of the orchestra with excerpts from Camille Saint-Saëns classic, Carnival of the Animals.

Diaper Drive for the Indiana Diaper Bank:

We are thrilled to announce a pop-up diaper drive to benefit Indiana Diaper Bank at this Teddy Bear Series performance. Indy Reads will be giving away a free book to every individual who donates diapers or dollars to the Diaper Bank. Make a $20 donation that day and take home The Garden Symphony book,  published by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

All Teddy Bear performances are free and open to the public, but please contact individual libraries to confirm reservation or seating procedures.
