The Conductor Laureate Endowment Fund could be used to Support the Following:
- Visiting Artists and Conductors:
In order to maintain its status as a world-class orchestra, the ISO
strives to bring the best soloists and conductors from all over the
world to perform in Indianapolis.
- Broadcast and Recording:
Radio and television broadcasts, as well as recordings available on CD
and on the internet, enhance the reputation of the Orchestra and
enable audiences in all parts of the world to experience the quality
and innovative programming of the Orchestra and its performances. As an
example, Indianapolis On-The-Air, hosted by Raymond Leppard, brings
the ISO into homes in more than 250 radio markets across America on a

Orchestra is Indianapolis’ best ambassador promoting our city’s image
as a cultural center and the high quality of life we enjoy here.
Everywhere that ISO performs, a bridge is built connecting our city to
the world, creating new economic opportunities to grow our city and
- Additional Artistic Personnel: The team
of conductors and senior artistic personnel working with an orchestra
can bring true artistic leadership and inspiration to musicians and
audiences alike. The ability to fill position such as Principal Guest
Conductor and Associate Conductor will contribute greatly to the overall
artistic quality and innovation of the ISO.
