St. Vincent Family Series volunteers

Includes three Sunday afternoon concert programs geared towards families with children ages 5-10. Volunteers are needed to help with pre-concert, music explorer activities. Concerts are at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.; volunteers need to arrive two hours prior.

Foreign Language Club Concert Guides
Foreign Language Club Concert Guides offer tours of the hall and translate pre-concert lectures for high school students attending concerts as part of their foreign language study. If you are fluent in Spanish, German, French or Russian, we need your help!

All scripts are provided in the appropriate language.

Special Event Volunteers
Special Event Volunteers bring their experience in event planning, publicity, marketing, décor, auctions, and solicitations to help shape various fundraising events for the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.

Administrative Volunteers
Administrative Volunteers help the Symphony in many ways, such as assisting the public relations staff with mailing press releases; helping the development department with mailings requesting contributions, and thanking those who make contributions; and helping with general administrative duties, such as filing and computer data entry.

These activities can be specifically tailored to your schedule.

Coffee Concert Ushers, Hosts and Hostesses
Coffee Concert Ushers escort patrons to seats, if needed, and are familiar with the Theatre so that volunteers can give directions to restrooms, coat check, and exits. Coffee Concert Hosts and Hostesses serve pastries and coffee pre-concert and at intermission. Volunteers may attend concerts, if seating is available. These volunteers are scheduled through the Women's Committee.

Symphony Tour Guides and Speaker Bureau Volunteers
Symphony Tour guides conduct tours of the Hilbert Circle Theatre for adult groups and students throughout the year. Staff will teach you the ins and outs of the Theatre, its history as well as the history of the Orchestra. Speaker Bureau Volunteers speak to groups about the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and related concerts, activities and volunteer opportunities.

Training and scheduling is done through the Director of Communications as needed.
